Therapy Support Aide

We are seeking a Therapy Support Aide to join our team.

As a Therapy Support Aide, you will provide support to children with developmental and behavioural challenges in a variety of settings, including homes and community settings. Your primary goal will be to assist in the implementation of behaviour intervention plans and to provide support to children to help them achieve their maximum potential and improve their quality of life.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the implementation of individualized behaviour intervention plans that address children's specific needs and goals, using evidence-based practice.
Provide one-on-one support to children, including behavior management strategies, positive reinforcement strategies, and social skills training.
Collect data on children's behaviour and progress, and communicate with the clinical team to evaluate treatment outcomes and modify treatment plans as necessary.
Collaborate with families, teachers, and other healthcare professionals to implement interventions that support children's development and participation in daily activities.
Document children's progress and maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal, regulatory, and professional standards.
Participate in training and professional development opportunities to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge in the field.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience working with children with developmental or behavioural challenges preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children, families, and collaborate with healthcare professionals.
Understanding of behaviour management strategies, positive reinforcement strategies, and social skills training.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
